Biodigester Toilet / Latrine System

Bio-Digester Toilet is a decomposition toilet system by means of which the sludge(Human Waste), the fecal matter, is decomposed to bits in the digester tank using a specific high graded bio-catalyst further converting them into methane and water, discharged further to the desired surface where they can be used. The Bio-digester toilet is total maintenance-free system & does not require any sewage system.

Feacal degradation occurs through catalytic reactions which converts it into biogas. The smell of feacal matter, the disease causing organisms in the feaces and the solid matter are almost eliminated. On dry weight basis, 90% of the solid waste is reduced. The gaseous effluent (bio-gas) is continuously let off to the atmosphere. Biogas can be used for various energy incentive activities like cooking water and room heating. Liquid effluent can be drained to any surface or soak pit without any environmental hazards.

A catalyst has been formulated and adopted to work at temp as low as 5 Co. This is the component which acts as seed material to the bio digester and converts the organic waste into methane and carbon-dioxide. Bio-digester serves as reaction vessel for bio machination and provides the conditions and required temp for the reaction. The optimum temp is maintained by catalytic heat, insulation of the reactor and solar heating.
